HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE: first corpus ingest of Benjamin Martin's Miscellaneous Correspondence cohort - a Royal Society fellow's gentleman's-magazine paralleling London Magazine and Universal Magazine country-dance plate publishing in the late 1750s. The figure-prose conventions match the London Magazine cohort exactly: short-form abbreviated calls (lead down between the 2nd and 4th Couple; cast off; foot it; corners and turn; right and left; cross over; set sides). Document-prevalent topics in the same volumes include the Byng court-martial 1757, the Carolinas frontier campaign, and Pope-supremacy controversy with Mr. Bower - dating the plates firmly to early 1757 social-publication context. Has_Step_Detail = Partial (figure-prose recoverable; engraved tune-plates not OCR-recoverable; per-step Foot-Position / Rise-and-Fall / CBM / Sway not in source - this is short-form figure-call notation, not bar-by-bar technical Beauchamp-Feuillet notation). Aug 1757 "A new Country-Dance" plate has its title obscured in the engraving and is not OCR-recoverable; figure-prose for that plate similarly not recovered. Dec 1757 "A Country-Dance" plate has figure-prose recovered but title not legible; both deferred for manual review. A 13.-numbered listing in the books-catalogue at line 15619 cross-references the 1750 Walsh "13 Minuets for his Majesty's Birth-day and 24 new Country Dances for 1750" pamphlet (Rosetta to LOC-1750-WALSH if discovered).
