About this studio
A12 TáncStúdió teaches modern dance and classical ballet to students of all ages in the 5th district of Budapest. The studio's mission is to develop technique while honouring the artistic and expressive side of dance.
Junior classes run from age 11 onwards (September mid to June mid). The studio offers thematic modern and ballet sessions designed to build technical skills. Students who reach appropriate technical levels are invited to compete in dance competitions.
Adult classes are available throughout the week. Evening classes in classical ballet and modern dance are offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, with multiple levels available most weeknights. Saturday mornings feature ability-focused technique work (ballet-based), beginner and advanced ballet, and pointe technique instruction.
The resident teaching team includes founder König István (modern dance pedagogue, rehearsal director and choreographer), Vékony Tamás (classical ballet pedagogue and rehearsal director), Cserne (modern dance pedagogue and dancer), Soós Leila (classical ballet instructor) and Nemes Borka (modern dance instructor). The studio offers class videos on its website so you can preview sessions before attending.
A12 stays open all summer with a weekly breakdown of courses and schedule changes available on their website. The studio runs a WhatsApp group for up-to-date news and announcements.
