Alejandra Sabena teaches Argentine tango and Argentine folk dance from Hotel Ribera de Triana in central Seville. She is a professional dancer with more than 35 years of stage experience, and has been teaching tango for more than 30 years. She is also a professional choreographer who has been creating dance productions for more than 35 years, with work premiered at venues including the Lope de Vega theatre in Seville.
Classes are organised by groups so all students feel comfortable, and are open to everyone regardless of experience. Alejandra emphasises that social tango is not performance tango—it focuses on natural movement, the embrace, walking, and learning techniques you can integrate into your own body. She teaches both group classes in Seville and online classes. Private lessons are available, and she can arrange classes at other locations.
Beyond regular classes, the studio organises practices, parties and milongas to help students get to know each other and integrate into the community. Students come from many different backgrounds and cultures. Alejandra also stages performances featuring school students, presenting choreographies that tell educational stories about tango culture.
The studio offers master classes, custom choreography for weddings, competitions and professional exhibitions, and full event design for special occasions. Alejandra can also create a professional spectacle tailored to your needs. She travels internationally to milongas and organises milongas and festivals. Group or private lessons are available internationally outside Spain.
