About this studio

Alma Latina is a salsa and bachata dance school in Fellbach run by Antonio Tucci, a professional salsa trainer rooted in the international salsa scene since the 1990s. Tucci has given over 35,000 hours of instruction and won the 1st Stuttgart Salsa Dance Competition in 1999. He teaches both Cuban Salsa and New York Style, alongside Bachata Sensual and Dominicana, Rueda de Casino group salsa, and Salsa Solo Ladies classes. The school rejects rigid choreography in favour of technique, musicality and the feeling behind the dance.

Classes run at all levels from beginner to advanced. Free trial classes are held every Saturday from 14:00–15:30 for Salsa and every Wednesday from 20:00–21:00 for Bachata. You don't need a partner to join—most students arrive alone and find partners at the school. Group sizes are deliberately kept small to allow individual attention and precise corrections. The school emphasizes a structured, didactic approach: you learn not just steps but how to understand salsa as a whole, building from a strong technical foundation.

Tucci offers private lessons and custom workshops for weddings, corporate events, group celebrations and stag nights. Dance trips are also arranged—upcoming dates include 28 May–2 June 2025 and 19–22 June 2025, though participant numbers are limited. Zumba workshops are also available.

Membership packages run from 3 to 12 months. The Salsa/Bachata single-style plan costs €70 per month (3 months), €65 per month (6 months) or €60 per month (12 months). The Basic Paket covering both Salsa and Bachata is €119 per month (3 months), €112 per month (6 months) or €99 per month (12 months). All packages include unlimited practice within your level and lower levels, weekly new figures, the option to make up missed lessons, and individual personal coaching. There is a one-time enrolment fee of €25 (€15 for students). A May special offered four 90-minute salsa classes for €39.90 per person or €79.80 for two people.

Students consistently praise the structured, methodical teaching, precise feedback and the professional yet encouraging environment. Several former students now teach salsa or run their own dance schools. The school operates with the belief that quality comes from strong fundamentals rather than accumulating many figures.
