About this studio
Argentango teaches Argentine tango in Stockholm at all levels from beginner onwards. The studio offers prepared tango lessons designed with students' perspectives and needs in focus. They draw their inspiration and knowledge directly from the tango schools and milongas of Buenos Aires, Argentina — the capital of tango. Their experience from time spent in Buenos Aires shapes their approach to both dance and teaching, with an emphasis on social dancing, musical improvisation, technique detail, and partner connection.
Beyond classes, Argentango runs regular milongas — Argentine tango social dance events where you dance with other members of the community. Entry to milongas is 80 kr, which includes tea and coffee; payment is by Swish (not card). The studio hosts drop-in workshops and various tango events throughout the year. The milonga DJ is Kiamal Akperov, with guest DJs also featuring.
The studio is actively embedded in Stockholm's Argentine tango social dancing scene and works in cultural collaboration with other organisations to promote Argentine tango. They participate regularly in the social dance scene across Stockholm, Sweden, and internationally, which means their teaching stays grounded in real-world partner dancing with tango dancers from across Sweden and the world.
