Bachata Rodchata Dance Classes

Bachata Rodchata Dance Classes teaches bachata and salsa in Reno. The studio is connected to Rodney Rodchata's broader network, which has been training dancers in bachata since 2004. Rodchata's approach emphasizes both traditional and modern bachata styles.

The Rodchata System has developed multiple instructors trained under Rodney Rodchata's methods. Notable teachers trained by Rodchata include Carlo de los Santos (with the team since 2007, teaching in San Jose), Gustavo Suarez (performing with Team Rodchata since 2014, based in the East Bay), Eli Parra (Team Leader for Team Rodchata Dance Co., teaching since 2014), and Henry Velasquez (Team Leader, dancing with the group since 2015). The studio also runs an ongoing teachers training program.

Beyond Reno, the Rodchata network operates Wednesday bachata classes at Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville, California (5855 Christie Ave, 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm) and Friday classes at The Get Down Studio in San Jose, California (198 Jackson St, 8 pm to 10 pm). The system has produced dancers who have become teachers, team directors and choreographers across the United States and internationally, with overseas instructors adapting Rodchata's methods in cities including Toronto, Calgary, Japan and Switzerland.
