About this studio
Angie's Wellness Fusion offers dance and fitness classes in Brisbane led by Angie Villalba, a certified instructor trained across multiple disciplines. Angie was certified as a Zumba Instructor in 2014 and as a Strong Nation instructor in 2018. She trained as a Yoga instructor in Rishikesh, India in 2018, and later completed certification as a Personal Trainer at the Australian College of Sport and Fitness. She also studied cooking at the Frontier Education Institute to support her holistic approach to wellness.
Classes span Zumba, yoga, personal training, and Salsa Cali Style instruction. The Zumba programme draws on Angie's expertise in salsa, bachata, and champeta, described as creating "a safe and freeing space" to move and groove. Yoga classes are positioned for beginners through to advanced practitioners, drawing from her Rishikesh training. Salsa Cali Style classes progress from basics to advanced level. Personal training is offered on a one-to-one basis, tailored to individual needs.
Angie also offers dance workshops in Salsa, Champeta and Bachata, and dance performance services for events. Classes are designed to improve cardiovascular health, burn calories, tone muscles, increase flexibility, endurance, strength and balance, and enhance mood and energy.
Reviews highlight Angie's energy and teaching style. One student noted "We laugh, sweat and dance for almost an hour"; another praised her ability to "explain the steps" and progressively modify choreography so everyone can follow. A third described her as bringing "Colombian culture into her choreography" and teaching "unique techniques."
