Bailatino Dance Company teaches Latin dance—salsa, bachata, merengue and related styles—in Wallisellen near Zurich. The studio is led by Felipe Herrera, a dancer, teacher and dance pedagogue from Cali, Colombia, who holds multiple master titles in Latin rhythms and is the current Swiss salsa champion. Herrera competes internationally, representing both Colombia and Switzerland at major world dance championships.
The studio offers group classes at multiple levels (from absolute beginner to advanced), private lessons for individuals or couples, wedding dance choreography, and a comprehensive online course. Group classes are designed to be dynamic and engaging, with a focus on progressive learning in an inclusive and supportive environment. Private lessons give you personalised attention: your instructor tailors pace and content to your needs, handles any technique problems (including lead/follow issues), and provides a dance partner if you don't have one.
The wedding dance service lets you choreograph a first dance to your chosen music. The online course covers two salsa styles in depth—Salsa Caleña (Colombian salsa) and L.A. Style On1—across four modules with 170 lessons covering basic steps, partner work, turns, music theory, warm-ups and mobility exercises. It requires no prior knowledge.
Bailatino emphasises that every class teaches discipline, respect, cooperation and self-confidence alongside technique. The studio promises to combine technique and enjoyment, making each lesson unique and enriching. You can book individual classes, multi-class packs, or a monthly unlimited pass. If you don't have a dance partner, the studio provides one.
