About this studio
BeSalsa is a Salsa On2 dance academy in Châtelaine, Geneva, teaching structured classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers. The director, Benamar Kevin, is a pro dancer and judge with 20+ years of social dancing, shows and competitions. He teaches with a method that is structured, musical and safe, so beginners feel confident fast and experienced dancers keep growing.
Classes run Monday to Friday, 18:45–22:30, covering partnerwork, mambo shines, musicality, body movement, spinning, styling and social dancing. The weekly schedule includes Level 1 beginner partner work on Mondays and Tuesdays (18:45–19:45), as well as specialised tracks: Mambo Shines, Musicality, Styling & Coordination, Spinning/Turn Technique, Body Movement, and a Show Team programme. All levels welcome at the Tuesday Salsa Practica (20:45–21:45), held every week.
Kids and teens aged 8–16 can join Latin Street dance classes on Monday mornings: 16:15 for ages 8–12, and 17:15 for ages 12–16. These classes focus on rhythm, coordination, musicality, confidence, posture, dance fundamentals and short choreographies in a structured and supportive environment.
The studio is a warm, wooden loft with mirrors, tuned sound and a sprung floor. It sits in Châtelaine on Allée des Nénuphars 6 (look for the Aula on level -1), close to tram and bus, with street parking nearby. The space is bright, well-ventilated and includes a changing area.
Monday Practica is free for members and runs after classes, offering a friendly space to practice partnerwork and shines with coaches on hand to help. Guests are welcome with a day pass. BeSalsa also runs salsa socials, workshops and special events, including the Summer Intensive and El Mambo Social parties. Most students start seeing results in the first month. Classes are taught in English, French and Spanish. You do not need a partner to join—many students come alone, especially for the free beginner trial class.
