About this studio
Bustelo-Tango is run by Sol Bustelo and Mariana Bustelo, sisters originally from Buenos Aires who teach authentic Argentine tango in two Paris locations: Studio Buenos Aires in the 11th arrondissement (54 Avenue Philippe Auguste, 200 metres from Nation metro) and La Maison de l'Argentine in the Cité Internationale Universitaire in the 14th. Since 1993 they have developed a unique pedagogy to transmit tango, its codes and the entire culture that surrounds it.
They offer regular weekly classes on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at all levels: initiation, beginners, intermediate, advanced and professional. Classes are rigorous from a technical and pedagogical viewpoint but held in a convivial and welcoming atmosphere. You can attend alone or with a partner. The school also teaches Argentine Milonga and Argentine Waltz alongside tango.
For those new to tango, they run an initiation workshop on one Saturday per month, lasting 2 hours 45 minutes, where you discover the basics and the culture of the dance. After initiation, you can join a regular class at your level. They also offer private lessons and coachings for performances, films, and wedding dances.
Beyond regular classes, Bustelo-Tango runs intensive workshops on tango, milonga and waltz for both regular students and those unable to attend weekly classes. These workshops work intensively on specific themes. They organise Friday evening exclusive practice sessions for their students, and an open tango practice once a month at La Maison Argentine. Occasional events include tango concerts, milongas, round tables on Argentine culture, conferences with tango artists, and a cultural trip to Buenos Aires.
To secure a place in an initiation workshop, a deposit is required: €20 for a single person or €40 for a couple, sent by cheque to Studio Buenos Aires, Etoile Argentine, 54 avenue Philippe Auguste, 75011 Paris.
