About this studio

Caliente Dance School and Events is based at Kristinedals träningscenter in central Gothenburg. They teach three main styles: Salsa, Bachata, and Urban Kizomba, alongside Latin Dance Fitness, High Heels, Feminine Movement, AfroFusion, Kompa, and percussion (bongos). Classes run across all week in a structured 11-week Fall Semester 2026, with an additional kids' programme (Rytm och Rörelse for ages 2–3, and Minidans for ages 4–5).

Every style is offered across multiple levels: Beginners (no prior experience needed), Improvers, Intermediate, and Advance (requiring at least 2 years of dancing experience). The school splits teaching by style—Bachata is taught by Rebecca, Angelo, Emmanuel, and Jennie; Salsa by Max and Johanna; Urban Kizomba by Lessly and Susanna. A referral scheme gives you 80 Caliente points per friend and gives your friend 15% discount. The school emphasises being "a big family"—one student review notes: "My teachers and the Caliente Crew made me feel at home from the first day."

Beyond weekly classes, Caliente runs a robust social and event calendar. Regular offerings include Caliente Sundays at Stenpiren, a Rooftop Day Party, Open House events (offering free trials of all classes), bootcamps, and the Salsa Nordic Festival (November 6–8). Drop-in social dancing after class is free for all Caliente students; guests pay 60 SEK. Private classes are available at 600 SEK per hour.

The school accepts multiple payment methods: card, Klarna, and PayPal online; Swish and card in class; plus Epassi and Bruce. Classes are taught primarily in English but instructors speak English, Swedish, and Spanish. No dance partner is required—the school rotates partners during class, though you can stay with the same partner if preferred. You can apply wellness allowance (Friskvårdsbidrag) to regular classes, and a loyalty rewards system accumulates Caliente points for registration, class sign-ups, party tickets, merchandise purchases, and referrals.
