Ceroc Scotland (Glasgow)

Ceroc is a partner dance class night held at Renfield St Stephen's Centre on Bath Street in Glasgow. It teaches a fusion of different dance styles in a drop-in format: you arrive whenever you like, no advance booking or enrolment on a set course. Every week includes a complete beginners lesson, so you can pick up where you left off if you return.

The structure of each night is straightforward. You'll get two classes, one-to-one help from the instructors (referred to as "the pros"), and plenty of practice time with a resident DJ. Whether you come alone, with a partner, or with friends, everyone rotates through partners during the lesson, so you'll dance with a range of people in the room at least once.

Ceroc has been running for four decades and describes itself as "the original, largest and fastest growing partner dance club in the UK." The teaching method is designed to be easy, sociable and fun, with classes catered to a range of ability levels, from nervous first-timers to experienced dancers.

Beyond weekly classes, Ceroc runs local freestyle events, workshops, and larger weekender events. You can also access Ceroc Hub, an online library of tutorials and videos to learn from home. The organisation is franchised across the UK and internationally, with locations in Dublin, Leiden, France and Asia.

Everyone attending needs to become a Ceroc member. Membership is a one-off fee and grants lifetime access to all Ceroc venues globally.
