Chattanooga USA Dance is a social ballroom dance club that hosts dance events on the second Friday of every month at Harrison Community Center. Each monthly event follows the same structure: a one-hour group lesson runs from 6:30–7:30pm, followed by two hours of general dancing from 7:30–9:30pm. You do not need a partner or previous dance experience to attend. The club welcomes dancers of all ages and skill levels, with particular emphasis on making beginners feel at home. Admission includes the group lesson, the two-hour dance social, and light refreshments.
Beyond the regular monthly dances, the club organises themed socials such as the Salsa Luau Dance Social, which features instruction from named instructors (such as Sonja and Manuel for salsa lessons) and DJ entertainment. The club has held special events dating back more than a decade—the website archives photographs from 2007 onwards.
The Choo-Choo Chapter established a Youth Scholarship Fund in 2017 to support local student dancers who need financial assistance to pursue ballroom dancing. The scholarship is application-based; recipients write an essay describing how ballroom dancing affects their lives and choose how to allocate their award. The club recognises that the student dancer population has been declining and is committed to supporting dancers of all ages in the Chattanooga area.
