Before your first class
Beginners are always welcome; all students of all ages, levels, and abilities are welcome, and Level One classes are specifically designed for those new to dance.
Group classes: $60 per person ($100 per couple) for Level One, $90 per person ($145 per couple) for Level Two, both four-week courses; drop-in rates $20–$25 for first class only.

With over 20 years of dance experience and more than a decade of teaching expertise, Christifer Duxbury offers instruction across more than two dozen dance styles. Class offerings include in-depth 50-minute private lessons, dynamic weekly 50-minute group dance classes, and monthly social dance events. The studio strives to be a one-stop-shop for all dance lesson needs in Calgary, whether you're interested in Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Country, Jazz, Contemporary, or other styles.
Group classes are structured by level. Level One beginner classes meet weekly and cover styles including Jive (Mondays at 7pm), American Tango (Wednesdays at 8pm), Salsa, and West Coast Swing. Level Two intermediate classes include Cha-Cha (Saturdays at 7pm) and Waltz. Performance-focused choreography courses run on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, featuring Musical Theatre styles such as "You Can't Stop The Beat" (Swing/Broadway Jazz) and "One! Singular Sensation" (Broadway Jazz).
Private lessons run 50 minutes and are available from 12pm–10pm on weekdays (Tuesday–Friday) and 12pm–6pm on weekends. Pricing for private lessons ranges from $85 for one session to $722 for a 10-pack (15% savings). Group classes cost $60 per person or $100 per couple for a four-week Level One course, with $20 drop-in rates available for the first class only. Level Two courses are $90 per person or $145 per couple, with $25 drop-in rates. Performance courses are $75 per person or $20 drop-in. You can bring a partner to private lessons at no extra cost.
The studio also hosts monthly social dances at a separate venue (2020 33 St SE, Calgary) where students can practise their new skills and meet other local dancers. An August social dance runs Friday, August 21, 2026, from 8:00pm to midnight. The studio focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment—both mentally and physically—with the goal of helping each student become the best dancer they can be while keeping sight of their personal reasons for starting and the milestones they wish to achieve.
What to expect
Your first visit
Group classes are 50 minutes long and meet weekly for four weeks at a time. Beginners are always welcome; drop-in rates are available for the first class only. Private lessons are also 50 minutes and can be scheduled flexibly during business hours. Social dances are held monthly at a separate venue and are open to all levels.
