About this studio

CLTDance has been bringing Latin dance to Charlotte for nearly 20 years. The studio teaches Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha Chá, and Kizomba through group courses, private lessons, and bootcamps. Their mission centres on creating environments that foster fun, fitness, and dance education for all people from all backgrounds, allowing students to connect, build confidence, and grow.

Group courses run in 4-week blocks at 1 hour and 15 minutes per week. Level 1 Salsa and Bachata courses cost $90, while Level 2 & 3 Salsa courses are $80. Level 4 Salsa is also available. Private lessons are $100 for a single 50-minute session, or $150 for a couple lesson. Beginner Latin Dance Bootcamps are also offered.

Beyond classes, CLTDance hosts Ritmo Latino Dance Socials at Lenny Boy Brewing Co. (3000 S Tryon St, Charlotte). These monthly events combine a Latin Dance class with open social dancing to Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Line Dance. Socials run 2–2.5 hours and include times when instructors cover basic skills for beginners. Children under 16 attend free. Workshops are also offered alongside some social events.

The studio offers an Unlimited Membership option, private packages, gift cards, and an online shop. You can schedule private lessons flexibly online. Their approach emphasises personalised instruction: choreographers design lessons around your needs and goals, helping you "get into your body," spending less time thinking and more feeling the movement. For couples, private lessons focus on building connection and helping dance movements flow naturally together.

Classes run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The studio welcomes absolute beginners and experienced dancers alike.
