All classes include a Complete Beginners level, and the club recommends first-timers join their first class with no partner required.
Mondays: £13 for two classes plus social (buy one get one free), or free social dancing only.
About this studio
Club Salsa Cambridge runs weekly salsa classes and social dancing nights across two regular sessions. Founder DJ Vish, who came to salsa after moving to Cambridge, built the club on a philosophy of creating a friendly and caring dance community. His nursing management background influences how the space is run.
Mondays Salsa meets at St Andrews Street Baptist Church (43 St Andrew's Street, Cambridge CB2 3AR). Classes start at 19:45, with a first class at all levels from 20:00–20:55 and a second class from 21:00–21:55, followed by social dancing from 22:00–22:30. Two classes including social cost £13 (buy one, get the other free), or social dancing alone is free. In July only, Mondays classes move to Downing Place United Reformed Church (4 Downing Pl, Cambridge CB2 3EL).
Bailando Fridays runs at St Andrews Street Baptist Church (40-43 St Andrew's St, Cambridge CB2 3AR). Doors open at 19:40. Intro Salsa and shine classes run from 19:45, followed by a first class at all levels from 20:00–20:55, a second class from 21:00–21:45, and social dancing from 21:45 to midnight. Two classes including social are £13 (buy one, get the other free), or social dancing only costs £8.
All classes include a Complete Beginners level and are drop-in with no booking required. You do not need a partner; the club rotates dancers during classes. Joe Davids, director of The Latin Collective and organiser of major dance events across London and other cities, teaches most Fridays. DJ Vish, available Europe-wide for DJing, brings knowledge of different music genres and a storytelling approach to the dance floor.

Your first visit
Drop in to either Mondays or Fridays. Doors open before class starts; no booking or partner needed. You'll join a complete beginners level, then progress to all-levels classes, and finish with social dancing if you want to stay.

Studio history
DJ Vish founded Club Salsa Cambridge after moving to the city and being introduced to salsa by a colleague. He trained with Nelson Batista, known as the Godfather of Salsa. The club exists through support from local dancers, venue partnerships, and volunteer help.
