About this studio
Colorado Dancesport operates two locations—a flagship studio in Littleton (5120 South Lowell Blvd) and a North Denver location (6830 Broadway Unit D)—offering comprehensive instruction across ballroom, Latin, country, and social dance styles. The studio was founded by Robert Nardozza and Harmony Munroe, opening on September 11, 2001 at the Littleton location. In 2022, they expanded with the North Denver studio to serve more of the Colorado community.
The studio teaches all major competitive divisions: International Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep), International Latin (Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive), American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz), American Rhythm (Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, Mambo), and Country styles (Two-Step, Waltz, Cha Cha, Nightclub, Triple Two, Polka, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Cowboy Cha Cha, Country Swing, Line Dancing). They also offer Club & Social styles including Merengue, Salsa, Bachata, Hustle, Argentine Tango, Lindy Hop, and Jitterbug, plus specialized offerings like LaBlast Fitness, Contemporary for Ballroom Dancers, and custom wedding choreography.
The teaching staff includes co-owners Harmony Munroe (winner of numerous titles in American Rhythm, American Smooth, and International Latin; representative at World 10-Dance Championships and World South American Showdance Championships; finalist at World Mambo and World Salsa Championships; co-author of DVIDA Syllabus of Country Western Dancing) and Robert Nardozza (teaching U.S. Ballroom Champions for over 21 years; worked with U.S. Ice Dancers at Olympic Training Center; 10 years on U.S. International Ice Dancing Team). Dance Director Toby Munroe is a two-time UCWDC World Champion in Classic Masters division (2004, 2005), UCWDC World Champion for ABC Choreography, and was inducted into UCWDC Hall of Fame in 2023. Other instructors include Faith Wailes (2023 UCWDC World Champion in Classic Crystal and Diamond Division II), Scott Koogle (Colorado State Salsa Champion, 3rd place finish Amateur US Salsa Open 2006), Joseph Lettig (2012 So You Think You Can Dance competitor), and Madalina Varlam-Lettig (competing and performing in ballroom since age 6). Additional instructors include Shawna Reed, Jason Saxe, Brandon, Shannon, Glenn McCallum, Shelly, Kelli, Melissa, Robert, Harmony, and Jason.
Class schedules span multiple levels. Beginners can start with the Newcomer Drop-In Class (all-level, beginner-friendly introduction to popular social dances, no partner required) or level-specific group classes. Level 1/2 classes focus on technique and styling with drills designed for home practice. Level 3 classes offer advanced training including a rotating class that deep-dives on different styles monthly. Specialized offerings include Ladies Formation classes (Level 1/2 and Level 3 with focus on ladies styling), West Coast Swing Fundamentals (all levels welcome), Mixed Level Country classes, Contemporary for Ballroom Dancers (strengthening core and improving balance), LaBlast Fitness (ballroom dance fitness with partnerless dance moves), Restorative Yoga, HEELS with Shelly, and Ballroom Meets Burlesque.
The studio serves competitive dancers across NDCA, USA Dance, UCWDC, and ACDA circuits. Pro-Am competition is available for students without partners. They organize weekly practice dance parties and international dance adventure trips for members. Both locations operate Monday–Thursday 10 AM–8 PM, Friday 10 AM–9 PM, with Saturday–Sunday by appointment only. The studio has been in operation for 23 years and holds 26+ top studio awards.
