About this studio
Corazon Latino Dance Studio opened in Austin in 2009, founded by Fanny Gonzalez as a space to combine exercise and fun while promoting health through Latino music and dance. Fanny brought decades of experience to the studio: originally from Venezuela, she was a ballet dancer from age 7 and had opened three dance studios in her hometown of Puerto Ordaz before relocating to Austin in 1996. She holds certifications as an Aerobics Instructor with AFAA (Athletics & Fitness Association of America) and ESA (Exercise Fitness Association), plus all available Zumba certifications. Before opening Corazon Latino, she taught salsa aerobics, aqua aerobics and step cross-training with Latino music at Premier Ladies for 8 years, worked as a personal trainer and instructor at the YMCA for 5 years, and taught at 24-Hour Fitness, el Buen Samaritano and World Gym.
The studio teaches Latin, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Zumba. Most of Fanny's choreographies fuse ballet, cardio and Zumba, reflecting her deep background in classical dance. She focuses on adult classes and knows her teaching helps students develop cardio-resistance, muscle toning and overall health.
Corazon Latino is currently located inside Baby Boom Training Center. Group classes, private lessons, choreographed dances and socials happen every week. Every weekend the studio runs a social and special classes. Private lessons are available by contacting the studio.

Fanny Gonzalez is the founder and owner. She is a certified aerobics instructor (AFAA and ESA certified) with all available Zumba certifications, a former ballet dancer since age 7, and brings 8+ years of teaching experience from Premier Ladies, YMCA and other fitness centres.

Corazon Latino Dance Studio opened its doors in the Austin, Texas community in 2009. Fanny Gonzalez, the founder and sole owner, is originally from Venezuela and relocated to Austin in 1996. She had already operated three dance studios in Puerto Ordaz, her hometown, before coming to the United States.
