About this studio
Crazy Swing School A.S.D is a swing dance school based in Bologna, founded on the passion of Dimitri Masotti for dance, teaching, and organising swing events with quality music and performances. The school is run by Dimitri Masotti and Alexsia Ghezzo, whose international experience and top results in major international swing competitions have driven the school's growth.
The school teaches Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz, Elegant Jazz, Fifties Jive, Swing Soul and Swing Connection. Beyond regular weekly classes, Crazy Swing School offers private lessons, workshop organisation, dance floor rental, and entertainment services with vinyl DJs. They also organise themed events and social dance nights, fostering community among their dancers.
The Bologna location occupies the dance halls at the historic Gabusi school, now Dance Studio 63, on Via Nino Bertocchi 63/C in the Barca area. The rooms are air-conditioned with flooring specifically designed for dance, mirrors on two sides, and a sound system. Changing rooms with showers, toilets and lockers are available, as well as a relaxation area to socialise between classes. Parking is adjacent to the building.
Since 2023, Crazy Swing School has also operated from The Padel Club in Ferrara on Via Cà Rosa 11. In September 2024, they opened a second Ferrara location at Format ASD, Corso Isonzo 42/a, about 10 minutes' walk from the city centre and near the new Darsena. This location features a large mirrored studio, air conditioning, an internal garden, and free bike parking. To attend classes at any location, you must become an annual member of the Crazy Swing School A.S.D association, which grants access to all courses, workshops and events throughout the year.
