About this studio
Dance St. Louis is a nonprofit dance presenter and one of only four dance-only nonprofit presenters in America. For more than six decades, the organization has been a trailblazer in the Midwest, bringing professional dance companies from across the globe to the St. Louis region. The organization describes itself as your "Gateway to World Dance," with historical partnerships that have positioned it as a national and international dance leader.
The 2026/27 season features four major presentations at the Touhill Performing Arts Center: Ballet Hispánico New York (November 14, 2026), RUBBERBAND (February 27, 2027), Parsons Dance (April 10, 2027), and the SPRING TO DANCE Festival 2027 (May 28–29). Season subscriptions are available for those wanting to see multiple performances.
Beyond presentations, Dance St. Louis runs an active education programme. Master classes with artistic directors, ballet masters, and soloists from world-renowned dance companies are offered to local students and teachers. These classes are held on the campuses of college partners Webster University and Washington University, as well as at COCA. Details about location, age and level restrictions, and specific instructors are available about two weeks in advance, and all students must pre-register.
The organization also operates a Residency Program, Dance Career Awards, and the SPRING TO DANCE Festival—a platform for local and regional work. Dance St. Louis is located in The Marcelle in the Grand Center Arts District, operated by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation. Led by Executive Director Richard M.
