About this studio
Dancecity is a community dance studio in central Oslo offering weekly classes and social events for all levels. The studio teaches Latin dance styles including Cuban Salsa, Sensual Bachata, Bachata Dominicana, Kizomba, and Semba across three venues: Dansalen, Løkken, and Loft.
Classes run Monday through Thursday. Monday features Kizomba Level 1 and Level 2, plus Semba Level 3. Tuesday offers Cuban Salsa at Level 1 and Level 2. Wednesday is dedicated to Sensual Bachata across all three levels. Thursday brings Bachata Dominicana classes at Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, plus a social session for all levels that runs 20:00–22:00. No partner is needed, and all levels are welcome throughout the schedule.
Instructors include Theo, Solomia, Leo, Eline, and Andre Murillio, each teaching across multiple styles and levels. The studio runs Open Week 10–14 August 2026, when you can try all classes for 200kr.
Beyond regular classes, Dancecity organises a range of social and community activities. Flip Kidz, run in partnership with BeSporty, is a Swedish concept offering classes for children aged 2–6 every Wednesday. The studio also runs Seniordans, activities designed for older people or those with limited mobility. Salsa Dans takes place every Sunday at Salt Art and Music, offering Latin social dancing for the whole family. Amapiano and Bryggedans are weekend social events; Bryggedans is free and sponsored by Oslo kommune.
