About this studio
DanceSystems is an online First Dance education service founded by Aldon Gray, offering structured wedding-dance masterclasses designed for couples with no prior dance experience. Rather than operating as a walk-in studio, it delivers beautifully edited video courses that break each movement into clear, manageable sections — an approach Aldon likens to "painting by numbers" — so both leaders and followers can build confidence and learn at their own pace from home.
The method grew out of Aldon's background as a former top-level tennis player and avid golfer, who applied the systematic training principles he used in sport to mastering modern partner dance over more than two decades. Frustrated by the quality of available instruction, he sought out top dance instructors worldwide and refined a unique step-by-step system intended to spare students that same struggle. The small team also includes Carmi Gray, who manages marketing and social media. The business is headquartered in Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa.
