Diana Meijer Dance & ShowBizz Academy is based at Westduinweg 214 in Scheveningen, Den Haag. Founded on 28 September 1984, the academy was originally registered under a different name and became Diana Meijer ShowBizz Academy from 2000. In 2010 it transitioned to a foundation (stichting) and moved to its current location.
The academy is led by Diana Meijer, the artistic director for lessons and productions. She has over 40 years of teaching experience and has performed on television and internationally, collaborating with many artists. Her background in diverse dance styles directly informs the choreography and teaching approach at the academy.
The studio offers two distinct programme streams. Dance Classes are recreational classes covering various styles suited to different age groups. Top Dance Classes are more intensive and serious, designed for motivated students who want to pursue dance further or develop a dance career. The academy emphasises that students who complete their training here have gone on to successful dance careers, which the founder takes pride in.
The teaching team includes internal instructors trained by Diana Meijer and external instructors who studied at institutions including Lucia Marthas Institute For Performingen and Albeda Danscollege. Key team members include Sirine Kalboussi (Top Dance SB 2), Robine (ShowDance Mix for mini and kids), Esmée (SB1), Ana Dijkhuizen (make-up stylist), and Tiffany Rehorst (ShowDance Mix for kids and Junior).
