About this studio

diddi dance South Liverpool runs pre-school dance classes for babies and toddlers, operated by Suzie Harley since 2014. Suzie trained at Elmhurst Ballet School from age 13, where she completed dance and singing exams at high grades. She went on to perform in theatre and small TV roles before gaining fitness qualifications. She now combines her performing arts background with a passion for early years dance education.

Classes are split into two age groups. diddi debutantes are 35-minute sessions for babies who are sitting, introducing physical movement and rhythmic skills to develop vestibular and proprioceptive systems, working with early years movement professionals. diddi dudes are 45-minute classes for toddlers steady on their feet and able to follow simple instructions, focusing on stylised moves and exploration of different dance styles. All sessions are inclusive; many franchisees have completed extra qualifications to deliver classes for children with different abilities and physical differences, including those in wheelchairs and with walking aids.

Each half term, classes explore a different dance theme from around the world—from flamenco and disco to hip-hop and bollywood. The music is original and recorded specifically for diddi dance, combined with action songs, dancing games, fun exercises and props. Parents and carers are actively encouraged to join in, making it quality time together while children develop confidence, motor skills, turn-taking and the ability to listen, observe and copy.

Classes are bookable in half-term blocks, with trial sessions available. You can expect to pay on average between £6–£9 per class, though prices vary by location. Suzie also runs toddler community dance classes in Allerton and Aigburth, and organises birthday parties for children up to 8 years, available at your chosen venue with music, props, bubbles, balloons and up to an hour of dancing games, action songs, hoops and ribbons. diddi dance mascots are available to hire for an additional cost. Trial classes are offered where available; contact Suzie to book.

Suzie won two awards at the 2023 diddi dance conference: runner-up for the diddi dude award and winner for the diddi discusser award.
