About this studio
Eden Studio is a 100m² dedicated pole dance studio in Lyon's 6th arrondissement, near Métro Foch. The space is equipped with 7 chrome X-Pole bars (45mm and 40mm), professional crash mats (15cm thickness), air conditioning, and sophisticated lighting designed to create the right atmosphere for pole dance practice. The studio also offers a small fridge for drinks and a cosy lounge area in the entrance.
Emilie, the studio's founder, created Eden Studio to provide women with a warm, secure, and welcoming space protected from outside attention. She teaches a balanced blend of technical pole dance that combines aerial acrobatics and figures with fluid, feminine, and sensual movement. The approach is chic and aesthetic rather than purely competitive or extreme—each student develops her own style within this framework.
Classes emphasize safety and progression. Emilie teaches grips and techniques in floor simulation first (especially for inversions) and ensures students build strength in figures at lower heights before attempting higher executions. She works physically with each person and gives individual attention throughout. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive; within each class, students work at their own pace regardless of starting fitness level or flexibility. Emilie actively welcomes beginners—you need neither muscle nor flexibility to start, as these develop through practice.
After roughly a dozen sessions, students notice significant change in strength, control, and what they can accomplish. The studio offers trial classes so you can test the environment before committing. Participants are encouraged to wear pole dance shoes (which lengthen the line of the leg and facilitate pivots and slides) for the dance sections, though barefoot practice is also possible and forms a large part of training.
