About this studio

Embrace Tango Academy teaches Argentine tango in Denver using the Gustavo & Giselle Method, a progressive system developed over 30 years by world-renowned tango teachers and performers Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne. The method consists of 128 tango dance classes organised into Programs A to H, designed to advance your skills to advanced beginner level within a fixed interval of 16 classes per level.

The academy emphasizes the basic technical structure, vocabulary, and concepts of tango movement, with particular focus on partner communication and coordination. Learning tango requires two dancers working together, and the progressive structure ensures you develop the essential skills to enjoy any tango dance floor situation with musicality and coordination with any partner. This approach works well for beginners and anyone who wants to understand the structure of the dance in a logical sequence.

Classes start on 25 September 2023. The academy also hosts monthly milongas on the 4th Fridays, giving you the chance to dance socially and practise what you've learned.

All classes and milongas are currently held at Colorado Dance Sport, located at 6830 Broadway, Denver, CO 80221. The academy describes tango not just as a dance but as a path to deeper personal connection, self-expression, cultural understanding, and physical well-being.
