About this studio

Fly Dance Fitness of Knoxville is a dance fitness studio located at 8079 Kingston Pike, Suite L. The studio is part of the Fly Dance Fitness franchise, which was founded in October 2014 and has grown to multiple locations across the United States. The Knoxville location is led by owner Erica Spiva, with studio manager Valerie Kelly and instructors Alesia Orren, Julie Bass, and Jaclyn Daugherty.

The studio offers seven class formats designed for ages 16 and up. Throw Down® is the signature high-cardio dance fitness format, featuring choreographed routines with hip-hop throwbacks and top hits. For those new to the format, Throw Down® 101 breaks down choreography step-by-step before moving into the full routine. So Fly Step™ is an hour-long step aerobic class set to hip-hop music, with routines demonstrated before each class begins. Throw & Flow combines Throw Down® cardio with choreographed stretching and breathwork focused on mobility and recovery.

For strength and conditioning, Sculpt Weights uses benches and bands for muscle-building routines choreographed to music, allowing you to adjust intensity with weight selection. Sculpt Circuits is dynamic circuit training that moves you between stations using varied equipment, combining plyometrics, HIIT, and functional exercises. Core & Restore balances core strengthening with deep stretching and breathwork designed to release tension.

The studio atmosphere emphasizes community and inclusion. You can expect heavy beats and low lighting, creating a club-like environment. New clients can try the first class for $20, with a second class free within a week. Class packages range from 10 classes for $160 (good for 3 months) to 20 classes for $280 (good for 3 months). Monthly unlimited memberships are available at $149 with a 6-month commitment or $159 month-to-month, both including virtual class access. Virtual classes are also available separately through live streams and on-demand video.
