The studio offers a four-level progression: Beginner Salsa & Bachata and Improver Salsa & Bachata run at 6:30 PM for 60 minutes each, while Intermediate and Advanced Salsa & Bachata (invitation only) run at 7:30 PM for 90 minutes. Classes are held with views of Sydney Harbour and Luna Park, creating what the studio calls a warm social environment focused on fun, connection, and great nights out.
The team includes industry leaders, competition champions, international performers, and accredited judges, though the studio's stated mission is social dancing for everyone rather than competitive achievement. Their approach centers on building confidence to dance on any floor in Sydney or around the world. New students are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to meet instructors and the receptionist. Partner rotation during class means you'll meet new people and practice moves with different partners each session—no partner is required to start.
Go Dance runs a free trial evening system where beginners can try a class with no commitment. The four-week beginner course is designed to take you from absolute beginner to having foundational salsa moves. Beyond the North Sydney location, pricing includes unlimited access to classes at four nights a week across multiple locations, so you can practice more frequently as you improve.
The studio also offers wedding dance lessons with tailored choreography for entrance, exit, and first dance. A five-lesson wedding package costs $499, while a 10-lesson package is priced at $799. Both include song selection and cutting assistance. Private lessons are available at $120 per 60-minute session or $499 for a 5-pack valid for six months, with 1-to-1 training from a Senior Instructor. Go Dance also hosts regular social events throughout Sydney, including weekly salsa nights at Pontoon Bar Darling Harbour (Thursdays, free entry with 7:30 PM class), Salsa en la Calle at Hay St Market (Wednesdays, free with 6 PM lesson), and Rouge Salsa Saturdays at a rooftop venue in Darling Harbour.
