About this studio
Golden Dance & Cheer Academy has been training dancers and cheerleaders in Bogotá and Chía since 1997, establishing itself as Colombia's leading competitive dance and cheerleading academy. The studio teaches Ballet Clásico, Danza Jazz, Cheer Dance, and Danza Urbana through an exclusive initiation programme called Experiencia Golden, which develops students' physical and mental abilities while exploring different disciplines.
The academy has achieved significant competitive success, winning two international dance championships, earning silver and bronze medals at the ICU Championship, and winning a Panamericano championship. For eight years they formed the Colombian National Team in Freestyle Pom and Open Pom divisions, and have won national championships in Double Jazz, Double Pom, Senior Pom, Open Pom, Senior Hip Hop, and Open Ballet.
Golden organises age-separated groups to optimise learning: students aged 3–6, 7–11, and 12–18 train in separate cohorts. The academy operates multiple locations, with sites listed as Cedritos, Chía, Normandía, and Santa Bárbara. They offer a tiered service model including trial classes, summer vacation courses (Cursos Vacacionales), virtual dance classes for girls, personalised classes, international educational experiences, and the Dance4Fun and Dance4Power programmes. For girls aged 3–18, a trial class costs $25,000; personalised trial classes for women over 18 cost $150,000 and can accommodate 1–3 people. The academy also runs special events including Recital Golden, Golden Dance Camp, Golden Dance Cup, Golden Day, and Golden Cheer Cup, as well as team training and competitive auditions.
