About this studio

Invictus Dancesport is a ballroom dance studio in Tucson established in January 2024. The studio has evolved from the Ballroom Dance Schools Franchise Company and Licientium Dance, bringing with it a competitive pedigree: the team has secured 5 UCWDC Points Championships, 3 UCWDC Worlds Couples Dance Championships, and 4 UCWDC ProAm Championships.

The studio teaches across four broad categories: International Latin (Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive), International Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep), American Rhythm and American Smooth variants, and cultural styles including Argentine Tango, Salsa, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and Country Two-Step. They also offer regional variants such as New York and LA style Salsa, and country western dances like Progressive Two-Step and Nightclub Two-Step.

Group classes run Monday through Friday, 9 am to 9 pm, with Saturday available by appointment. The studio structures classes in three formats: Progressive Group Classes, which build skills across the month starting with basics; Pattern Focus Classes, which teach specific patterns for individual dances; and Dancesport Workshops on technique for either specific dances or rhythm and smooth foundations. Social Dance Parties follow most classes and are free if you attend the preceding class; they're open to all skill levels. Group Practice sessions let students drill patterns and techniques together.

Private lessons are available at $60 for 30 minutes, $90 for 45 minutes, or $120 for 60 minutes. Instructors offer one-on-one instruction tailored to beginners seeking foundation through advanced dancers aiming for mastery. Add-on services include choreography, competitive training, showcase training, physical training, and instructor certification training. The studio also specializes in wedding dances, custom choreography, and competition training with expert ProAm instruction.

Group class pricing is $20 per drop-in class or social, $75 for 5 classes, or $120 per month for unlimited classes and socials. The studio notes that Monday and Tuesday classes are progressive and recommending starting at the beginning of the month.
