About this studio
La Magia del Baile is a dance school in Madrid run by teaching partners Nuria Llaona and Oscar Del Vecchio. They offer classes in tango argentino, ballroom dance (baile de salón), swing and rock 'n' roll, and Oriental dance (danza oriental). The school also organises the Festival Tango Mágico, which has run in multiple locations including Santander and Alicante.
Tango classes run on two schedules. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (21:00–22:00) are intermediate II level and include milonga — a social dancing event — on the last class of each month at a 2-for-1 rate (you pay for one rhythm and learn two). Friday classes (19:00–20:00 and 20:00–21:00) are beginner and intermediate I level. All classes are taught by Nuria and Oscar. Prices are €50 per month for beginner level and €60 per month for intermediate level. Private classes are available with five-class packages of 60 minutes each, including bespoke teaching for wedding dances. Video recordings of each class are provided so students can review the steps at home.
Classes take place at Escuela BELO ART, Calle Pamplona 59, Estrecho–Francos Rodríguez, Madrid (postcode 28039). The studio has a sprung wooden floor (tarima), air conditioning and good sound. The school also offers private wedding dance classes — vals for newlyweds and family members — either at the school or at your home, with packages available.
Beyond classes, La Magia del Baile organises events and has run the Festival Tango Mágico multiple times. The school is also connected to a saxophone and clarinet workshop (Oskar Luthier, run by Oscar). Magic and illusion classes are listed among their offerings, including online magic classes and shows featuring magician Mago Dennis Martin.
