La Résidence des Arts opened in September 1988, founded by three teachers—Isabelle Marty, Laure Andrieu and Marie-Josée Cazals—with a clear mission: to give families access to different artistic activities in one location without having to travel across the city. The school is now directed by Marie-Josée Cazals and Candice Cazals-Simonato, supported by 10 other teachers.
The school teaches dance across multiple styles including Classical, Modern Jazz, Contemporary and Oriental Dance, alongside music lessons (piano and guitar) and yoga-pilates. They offer courses for all levels. Since 2000, professional development courses have been open to teachers and dancers who want to continue training and exchange ideas with peers.
La Résidence des Arts is widely recognised in the dance world. Their annual end-of-year show is a major success each year, reflecting the rigour and conservatoire-standard work the teachers bring to their classes. Trial lessons are available, and enrolment for 2026–2027 is open.
The school serves the wider Toulouse region, including Saint-Orens-de-Gameville, Balma, and Quint-Fonsegrives. They also offer room rental for external users.
Office hours are Monday to Friday 16:30–19:30 and Saturday 10:30–15:30. The school is closed Sundays.
