About this studio

Let's Dance Miami opened in November 2019 as the realisation of founder Stefan Ilies's lifetime dream. Stefan began dancing at age 7 in his hometown of Chisinau, Moldova, and has won National Championships in Latin and Standard dance styles in Moldova, Romania, and the USA before establishing the studio in Aventura.

The studio teaches ballroom, Latin, and Argentine tango to students of all levels. You don't need a partner—if you come solo, you'll dance with one of the professional instructors. Classes are offered both privately and in groups. The teaching team includes Yevhenii Stetsenko, a Latin-American dance specialist and finalist at the International Sports Dance Championship in China and semifinalist at the Vilnius Dance Festival in 2021; Daniela Vacaru, a national champion and international artist in choreography; and Alexandru Anton, a Romanian National Finalist and former member of the Romanian National Team who specialises in working with both new and advanced students.

The studio has built a community of over 573 happy students. They organise regular social dance nights and community events. An annual showcase takes place each March—the 2026 showcase is scheduled for Saturday, 28 March at FIU Wolfe Center in North Miami Beach, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Dance Vision Foundation. Students report that dancing here has improved their confidence, balance, flexibility, coordination, strength and stamina, while reducing stress and enhancing memory and focus.

First-time visitors get a trial lesson for $25 with no prior experience required. The studio welcomes individuals and couples in a judgment-free environment. Students describe it as a joyful community where they've made new friends, experienced personal transformation, and discovered creative expression they didn't expect to find.
