Before your first class
Absolute beginner classes are designed for people with no dance experience or some previous dance background, with a guarantee that you will be dancing within 5 minutes of starting your first dance.

About this studio
Mandy Eades Line Dance with ME has been established since April 2019 and operates across multiple venues in the Bath area. Mandy is a fully qualified line dance instructor through Best Western Dance Academy (BWDA), with degrees in teacher training (Cert Ed) and Management Studies, plus an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. She regularly attends national line dance workshops and collaborates with other instructors to learn new dances and styles.
Classes run at three main locations: Roundhill Primary School in Southdown (Monday and Thursday), Beacon Hall in Peasedown St John (Wednesday), and Farmborough Memorial Hall (Thursday morning). All classes are £7. The Absolute Beginner & Beginners classes run for 90 minutes and cover short sequences of 16, 24 and 32 counts with various rhythms, building basic skills, muscle strength and confidence. The Improver & Intermediate classes (also 90 minutes) are for dancers with prior experience or those who have completed at least 12 weeks in a beginner class; these feature interesting step combinations, pauses, syncopations, body movements and timing variations, with dances starting at 32 counts and longer. Mandy teaches that from the first week beginners will be dancing within 5 minutes of starting their first dance.
Mandy has choreographed dances for her community, with her most popular being BRAVE, HERE WITH ME and I AM GiANT. She started choreographing when she couldn't find dances to suit her dancers' needs and learning goals. No partner is required, though you can bring one if you wish.
Beyond classes, Mandy organises frequent social events and workshops. Monthly Friday socials take place at St Philip & St James' Church (7:30–10:30, £7). She regularly invites top international choreographers to teach their latest dances at Saturday workshops (typically £8), and hosts evening socials with country music performers and themed parties (Christmas and afternoon tea). Weekend away events are also offered, including the Tiverton Beginner Line Dancing Weekend (£205) and the ELD Beginner Weekend. She is available to book for private workshops, corporate events, social parties and birthdays.

Your first visit
Classes are informal and lively without the pressure of performance. Mandy talks you through dance floor etiquette, line organisation, count-in and dance direction. Expect short, easy-to-learn routines, lots of laughter and fun, and the chance to meet new friends while learning classic and modern dances to a range of music genres.
