What to expect
Your first visit
First-time families should expect a nurturing, individualized environment with an emphasis on safety and age-appropriateness. Trial and drop-in classes are available ($15 per 45-minute class / $20 per 1-hour class), and prospective students are encouraged to arrive early to complete payment via Venmo, PayPal, or Studio Pro. All students/parents must create a Studio Pro account and agree to the Student/Parent Handbook (waivers and policies) before registering. Recreational tuition is billed monthly and scaled by weekly class duration (from $50/month for 30 minutes up to $190/month for 4 hours); private, semi-private, duet, and trio lessons are also offered for individualized and competitive training.

Who teaches here
Studio owner and lead instructor Allison Darby holds a B.A. (focus in Dance and Studio Art, UA Little Rock, 2009) and a B.S. in Dental Hygiene (UAMS). She danced professionally with the Arkansas Travelers Halos Dance Team (2011-2013), has coached competitively in central Arkansas for over 13 years, and has earned numerous choreography awards. Her favorite style is contemporary, with teaching experience across ballet, jazz, pointe, lyrical, partnering, tap, modern, improvisation, and pom.

Proper shoes are required per class (pink canvas split-sole ballet slippers for ballet; tan split-sole jazz shoes for jazz). Hair must be pulled back and secured away from the face.

Founded by studio owner and instructor Allison Darby, who grew up in Maumelle and long dreamed of opening a dance studio in her hometown, bringing that vision to life through classes at MGC Kids.
