About this studio

Oxygen Tango offers Argentine tango for all levels in Inglewood. The studio was founded by Mitra Martin and Stefan Fabry and is currently managed by David Lampson and Magan Wiles.

For beginners, you can choose from three options. The 6-part beginner series meets Mondays at 7pm and Saturdays at 1pm, offering a relaxed introduction in a group setting; Level One and Level Two series are available. The Learning Lab (Mondays 8pm, Saturdays 2pm) lets you start any week and learn tango fundamentals at your own pace with 1:1 guidance. Private lessons are available for 15, 30, or 60 minutes on your own schedule.

Intermediate students can drop into the Thursday Intermediate Class from 8–9pm with no partner required; a practica follows from 9–11pm and is included with the class. The Learning Lab takes you through the entire Oxygen curriculum for both leading and following, and works best with regular attendance on an Oxygen monthly pass. Private lessons are also available for 15, 30, or 60 minutes.

Social dancing is central to Oxygen's life. The famous Thursday Practica features traditional music and runs late. The Garden Practica offers an outdoor dance floor in a lush garden with air-conditioned space as needed. The 50/50 Monday Practica mixes traditional and alternative music. A monthly Garden Milonga runs on the 4th Saturday of every month, and the Lantern Milonga appears several times a year.

No partner is required for any classes or events. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can walk backwards in. Plenty of street parking is available around the studio, including ample diagonal spaces on Marlborough Ave just around the corner.
