About this studio
Paradise Latin Dance Studio started with a spark of curiosity. One of the founders walked into a dance studio back in New Jersey with no experience, fell in love with it, and eventually convinced their partner to join. Over 10 years of performing, social dancing, and learning salsa and bachata followed. When they moved to Hawaii, inspired by the aloha spirit and sense of community, they decided to open Paradise Latin Dance Studio—a place to share what they'd learned and help others feel the same joy and connection through dance.
The studio teaches beginners through to experienced dancers. Bachata runs Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 7pm. Salsa Fundamentals meets Tuesday and Thursday from 8pm to 9:30pm. Dance Rhythm classes run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The founders, Rico and Mike, lead the classes and bring their years of real experience in salsa and bachata to the studio.
The studio's philosophy is simple: to help you leave every class or event happier than when you arrived. Whether you're taking your first step or you're already an experienced dancer looking to grow, the focus is on creating a welcoming, fun, and lively environment. The space is built around community—the studio sees itself as an ohana (family) and actively invites new people to join.
