Plesno društvo Salam Ghazeea was established in 2005 as a cultural and recreational association dedicated to Oriental and Indian dance. The studio operates across multiple dance traditions, from classical Indian forms to contemporary Oriental styles, with a mission to share the culture and values of the Indian and Oriental world through dance — not just technique, but also the history and meaning behind each movement.

The studio offers a diverse range of dance styles. You can study Bharatanatyam (classical Indian dance), Kathak, Bollywood, and Oriental belly dance in its various forms, from the most authentic folklore to modern interpretations. Workshops cover drum solo, dance with canes, folkloric dances, classical Indian dances, spins and turns, and flamenco oriental. In recent years, the studio has also introduced expressive dance for preschool children and dance-movement therapy.

Instructors include Vesna Jevšenak (founder), Darya Marjanca Sonc, Alenka Lapanja, Nivedita Badve, Ujwal Bhole, Prof. Dr. Hassan Khalil, Asmita Banerjee, Bahara, and Shahrzad Khorsandi. The studio emphasises that teachers are trained professionals offering high-quality instruction.

The studio organises performances and annual productions at the end of each dance year, along with numerous dance workshops featuring guest teachers and varied content.
