Royal Dance Studio is a competitive dance school in Bologna's historic centre, founded in 2021 by two young athletes, dancers and teachers: Nicolò Godino (President) and Alice Minelli (Artistic Director). Their aim is to train young and adult dancers in both technical-sporting and expressive-theatrical profiles, supported by professionals who guide them from preparation through to performance.
The studio teaches Danza Educativa, Danze Latino Americane, Danza Classica, Moderna and Contemporanea. Classes and private lessons are available for children, teenagers and adults. The teaching approach emphasises sacrifice, passion and step-by-step growth.
The dance studio is equipped with a professional dance floor, professional barres and shatterproof mirrors. The space is described as spacious and multifunctional.
Royal Dance Studio has a strong track record in Italian competitive dance. Recent achievements include multiple medals at the 2024 Campionato Italiano (Italian Championship), including gold for Anita in Jazz Dance solo (13–16 age group, Class C), silver for the Arianna B. and Giulia G. duo in Jazz Dance (Over17, Class C), and bronze for the Modern Contemporary group. Students have also competed at Casa Sanremo Performer and other regional competitions.
The studio organises year-round performances and showcases. Recent productions include "Peter Pan", a full-year showcase performed at Teatro Testoni di Bologna in June 2025, and "Royal Winter Gala", also at Teatro Testoni, in December. Students range from young children through to teenagers competing at national level.
