About this studio
Salsacolor teaches salsa cubana at the Centre Culturel des Mazades in Toulouse. The association runs three regular classes through the 2025/2026 season, from 18 September to 30 June, with lessons held during the first week of school holidays.
The Salsa Cubana Débutants Avancés class meets Thursdays 20:00–21:15 and requires a minimum of 1 year of prior salsa cubana experience. This class consolidates basics in solo, couple work and rueda de casino, focusing on guidance, connection, movement, attitude and style.
On Fridays, two levels run back-to-back. The Atelier Perfectionnement & Chorégraphique (19:00–20:15) is for intermediate and advanced dancers with at least 3 years of regular salsa practice. Work focuses on group choreographies in line (suelta, shines, ruedas artistiques, manstyle and ladystyle), spatial awareness, memory, coordination and personal style. Dancers at this level are invited to perform at Salsacolor events if they wish. The Salsa Cubana Intermédiaires / Avancés class (20:15–21:30) develops refined style and musicality through elaborate figures, shines, rueda de casino, body isolation, subtle guidance and lady and man style techniques. Regular attendance throughout the year is essential.
All classes take place in the Salle du Petit Théâtre at the Centre Culturel des Mazades. The association organises regular social events: monthly SBK&Rock evenings at Bentleys Toulouse, charity nights, and participation in events like Tempo Latino. A Salsacolor t-shirt is included in annual subscriptions. The studio is led by instructor Tacyo, who teaches Latin dances.

Drop in for a free trial during open doors 18–26 September 2025. Classes are held in the Petit Théâtre at the Centre Culturel des Mazades; from Barrière de Paris metro, it is 5 minutes on foot. Ask staff to direct you to the dance studio. Places are limited, particularly in the beginner-advanced group.
