Sydney Salsa Classes runs group and private lessons in salsa and bachata across five locations: the CBD (Shark Hotel and Australian Hall), Green Square (Bar Noun), Five Dock (The Ridley Centre), and Westmead (Progress Hall). The studio's mission centres on helping everyday people gain confidence through Latin dancing, connect with others on the dance floor, and break through social barriers to meet new people. They've introduced the joy of dance to over 10,000 people in Sydney and work with 1,000+ dancers across more than 20 countries.

Group classes run at four levels in both salsa and bachata. Salsa begins with absolute beginners learning fundamentals, then progresses through intermediate and advanced stages. Bachata follows a similar structure: Level 1 covers side-to-side movements, simple turns, and lead-and-follow technique for social dancing; Level 2 introduces body isolations, syncopations, and travelling turns; Level 3 focuses on Sensual Bachata with body rolls and head rolls, plus Dominican and Moderna style moves; Level 4 is patterns-based, advanced work with small class sizes for personalised feedback. Both styles include end-of-month Salsa and Bachata parties as part of the course.

The studio offers free beginner classes to remove barriers to entry. Group classes are designed for active individuals, suited to both singles and couples, with no partner required—partners rotate every minute or two so you dance with everyone. The classes attract university students and young adults. Most absolute beginners do the free beginners class 2–3 times before moving to the next level, and the average person stays in beginner levels (0–2) for 12–24 months.

Private lessons are available one-on-one, with pricing at $110 for a single lesson, $500 for five lessons (save $100), or $900 for ten lessons (save $300). These are tailored to individual goals and challenges, with flexible scheduling and rapid progress. The studio and leadership team have won national and international awards for excellence in business and community building.

The studio emphasises community over performance. They regularly hold fundraisers, have pledged to give back 1% of equity, and work alongside UN global goals for sustainable development. Online bachata lessons are also available, covering lead-and-follow technique, basic combos, and basic turns.
