Tango Pasional is an Argentine tango school and venue in Zagreb, founded in 2010 by Lucija and Luka as Tangoneo, rebranded in 2023. The school teaches Argentine tango—a sensual, improvisational dance born in late 19th-century Buenos Aires, rooted in European folk dances (waltz, mazurka, polka), Cuban habanera, and African candombe rhythms. The dance is defined by two core elements: the embrace and improvisation. Tango is known for emotional depth, expressiveness, complex footwork, and dancing from the heart rather than following rigid choreography.
The school operates from multiple locations: Tango Club Marabú at Šenoina 23 in Zagreb, Buena Vista Club at Savska cesta 120 in Zagreb, and a venue in Rijeka at Slavka Cindrića 7. Beyond regular group and private lessons, Tango Pasional runs social events including milongas (tango social dances) and practicas, as well as larger festivals and weekends: Zagreb Tango Festival, Zagreb Embrace, and Tango Femme Weekend. The school also offers specialist programs including Tango Lady & Tango Man classes, team building, wedding preparation (Pripreme za mladence), film nights (Filmske večeri), tango gatherings (Tango ćakule), pair performances, and group travel experiences. They collaborate with other Argentine tango schools and teachers across Croatia and internationally.
The teaching team includes experienced instructors: Luka Lovrić (17+ years, also tango DJ), Lucija Lovrić (19 years teaching, co-founder, also performs show tango), Barbara Keran (instructor and DJ, known for emphasis on musicality and creativity), and Tomislav Sudić (experienced in standard and Latin dances, now focused on Argentine tango). The team also includes assistants Marijana and Hrvoje (the "Dubravice" duo), Drago Čengija, and Sanja Caca Vlahović. Tango DJs Pavle Horvat and Damir Mikoč curate music for events, with Damir specializing in Época de Oro (the golden age of tango). The school has trained hundreds of dancers since its founding.

Studio history
Tango Pasional was founded in 2010 by Lucija and Luka as Tangoneo, with the aim of promoting Argentine tango, music and culture. In 2023, the school was rebranded as Tango Pasional. Over that time it has become a place of inspiration, learning and community, with hundreds of dancers having taken their first steps there. The school now operates across Zagreb and Rijeka, organizing classes, workshops, social dances (milongas and practicas), festivals and weekends, and collaborates with other Argentine tango schools and teachers in Croatia and internationally.
