About this studio
Toronto Dance Professionals teaches Latin ballroom, salsa, bachata, merengue and wedding dance in Etobicoke. The studio trains students in American style ballroom and Latin dances following the NDCC Ballroom Syllabus, and also offers ladies styling, stretch and conditioning classes, and theatre arts.
The studio is run by Deniz Karakulak, who began her dance training in Europe at a young age and has accumulated numerous national and international dance titles, including Canadian Showdance/Cabaret and Exhibition/Theatre Arts National Champion. Deniz has coached hundreds of wedding couples and high-profile clients including actors Richard Coyle, Piper Perabo and Nestor Serrano, as well as celebrity wedding clients Sophie Brussaux and Efe Caliskan. She is known for her ability to motivate students and guide them toward achieving successful national titles in prestigious Pro-Am tournaments.
The studio offers private one-on-one lessons where the instructor personalises each lesson according to your skill level, couples private dance classes, and Pro-Am Dancesport Competition training. Wedding dance packages include supervised practices and professional videography. Classes incorporate traditional learning styles and a personal approach tailored to each student's needs.
Pro-Am (professional-amateur) events pair amateur dancers with world-class instructors to compete in dance competitions. The studio has produced Pro-Am Champions from beginners. You can also explore ballroom cabaret, which combines the strength of gymnastics with the fluidity of classical dance.
All ages are welcome, and you do not need a partner to join in. The studio is open Monday to Friday, 09:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m., with evening hours available on certain days until 10:00 p.m.
