About this studio
Tuballoswing is a swing dance school and social venue in Florence teaching Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie, and Solo Jazz. The school offers a structured two-year introduction pathway for each discipline, followed by optional thematic modules lasting 2–6 weeks. Classes run at multiple levels including INTRO 1 and INTRO 2, with free trial weeks in September (17–30) for INTRO 1 classes and official courses starting 1 October each year. The school welcomes dancers of all ages, from children aged 7 to people over 90.
Private tuition is available in single, couple, or small group format (3–5 people for Solo disciplines, or up to 3 couples). For Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie, couple registrations take priority, though solo dancers may enrol subject to availability. A new modular system from September 2025 allows you to personalise your learning by choosing specific modules based on your level and goals.
Every Wednesday, Tuballoswing runs La Social del Mercoledi, a long-standing swing dance social night that has been part of the Florence dance calendar for over 15 years. This weekly event combines social dancing with local food, drinks, and community. Subscriptions include free access to the Wednesday social, use of showers and lockers, and access to the refreshment counter with free filtered water.
The school operates a secretariat open Monday to Friday, 15:30–19:30 from 1 September for registrations. Online registration is also available. A medical certificate for non-competitive sports activity is required. A promo offers 20% discount on subscriptions and 50% off membership fees for under-30s.
