Décima Tango Academy (Tango en México) is a tango school based in Mexico City offering intensive in-person and online courses. It bills itself as the only tango academy in Mexico led by a certified Argentine professor — Laura Décima Lifchitz, a graduate of the National University of Art (UNA) in Argentina, certified in both Tango and Folklore.
What to expect
Your first visit
The academy uses a proven four-stage method: (1) Discover the Tango — the beginner "ABC del Tango" seminar where students dance one full tango in three days; (2) Master the Tango via regular classes; (3) Represent the Tango (Festival Petite and performance); and (4) Live the Tango through events, shows, and community. Courses run as monthly weekend seminar editions and are available in person in CDMX and online.
