About this studio
ISM is a dance studio and social venue in the Juárez neighbourhood of Mexico City, located at Cerrada de Hamburgo 4. The studio describes itself as more than a dance school—it's a community where people of all origins meet to share their passion for music and movement. They teach Salsa, Bachata, Reggaetón, and Hip-Hop across multiple levels, welcoming both beginners and experienced dancers.
The team includes director Kentaro, managers Nelly and Marion, and instructors Ian, Tavo, and Maite. The studio operates a 100m2 salon space and has recently opened a new terraza venue in Roma Sur. They offer one-hour classes that can be booked through their app or website.
Beyond classes, ISM runs weekly social events. They host Bachateamo every Wednesday at Wavia Mercado Japonés, and Salsa & Bachata socials every Thursday at Marketeatro. Thursday nights at the terraza feature Ladies Free entry. The studio notes that regular socials do not run on Tuesdays, Saturdays, or Sundays, and that CDMX has no regular socials on weekends generally.
