Agora de la danse is a major hub for contemporary dance in Montréal, hosting a year-round programme of performances, artist residencies and research initiatives. Located at 1435 rue De Bleury in the Wilder building, near Place-des-Arts metro station, it celebrates 35 years as a platform for choreographic creation.
The venue operates two performance spaces: Espace Orange and Espace Bleu, both accessible by lift. Recent and upcoming performances include Euphoric Thresholds (February 2–6, 2027) with Alexandre Morin and Mathieu Leroux, and LABOUR (February 24–26, 2027) by Parts+Labour. The ticket office opens Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 to 17:00, and two hours before each performance.
The Café-bar on the first floor opens one hour before performances and offers a space to meet artists and friends before or after shows. Free cloakroom service is available during cold weather. The venue is certified by Kéroul as fully accessible to people with restricted mobility, with wheelchair-accessible washrooms in both gendered facilities and reserved seating in the front row of each performance space.
Accessibility services include hearing loop receivers available on loan for deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors (book in advance by email or phone). The venue participates in the Carte Accompagnement Loisir (CAL) programme, offering a free ticket to the companion of someone with restricted physical capacity. A secure drop-off zone for taxis and adapted transit is located outside the building.
The venue can be reached by metro (Place-des-Arts on the green line, or Place-d'Armes on the orange line), bus lines 15, 80, 125, 129, and 435 express, or by car — multiple parking garages are nearby including Îlot Balmoral, Place des Arts, and Complexe Desjardins, with metered street parking also available. Electric vehicle charging stations are available at three locations in the area.
