About this studio
Alberto's has been the heart of Latin dance in Silicon Valley for over 15 years. Established in 1992, the club quickly became one of the best nightspots in the Bay Area. The venue offers daily dance lessons in salsa, bachata, merengue, tango and other Latin styles, followed by social dancing most nights. You can learn Salsa On1 and Sensual Bachata across beginner and intermediate levels.
The schedule runs Monday through Sunday. Mondays feature Bachata lessons at all levels (doors 7pm, beginner 7:30pm, intermediate 8:30pm, social dancing 9:45pm). Tuesdays and Thursdays offer Salsa lessons (doors 7pm, beginner 7:30pm, intermediate 8:30pm, social 10pm). Wednesdays are Sensual/Dominican Bachata (doors 7:30pm, lesson 8pm, social 10pm). Thursdays also combine Salsa y Bachata lessons (doors 7pm, salsa 7:30pm, bachata 8:30pm, social 10pm). Fridays are Salsa nights (doors 8pm, lesson 8:30pm, social 10pm). Saturdays feature Salsa lessons and social dancing (doors 8pm, lesson 8pm, social 9pm, Latin mix 11pm). Sundays host Argentine Tango milonga dance parties from 7pm to late. All lessons are no partner necessary and 21 and up.
Pantea is the studio's renowned salsa instructor, well-known in the Bay Area Latin dance scene for her teaching style. She brings infectious energy and expertise to every class. The venue hosts Sabados Latinos on Saturdays with Rock en Español, Top 40, reggaeton, hip hop, cumbia, salsa, Latin house and electronic music.
Alberto's holds various events and parties throughout the year including salsa and bachata contests, Halloween parties, New Year's Eve celebrations and more. The club offers VIP and bottle service for bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations and special occasions. Birthday celebrations include free table reservations with prior notice (based on availability) and you can bring your own cake. Table reservations are available by phone after 3pm Monday–Friday. Ruido Azul, the house band formed in the late 1990s with deep Peruvian roots, performs regularly, delivering electrifying renditions of Spanish-language hits and Rock en Español.
What to expect
Your first visit
You'll arrive to find doors open around 7–8pm depending on the night. Beginner and intermediate lessons run for about an hour, taught by experienced instructors. After the lesson ends, social dancing continues for the rest of the evening with a live band or DJ playing salsa, bachata, and other Latin styles. No partner is necessary for any lesson or dance session.

Pantea is the studio's renowned salsa instructor, well-known in the Bay Area Latin dance scene for her teaching style and infectious energy. She teaches across multiple nights including Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Alex teaches Salsa Tuesdays. John co-teaches Bachata Wednesdays with Pantea. Dorcas hosts the Argentine Tango milonga on Sundays.
