About this studio
ASD TANGUEDIA is a sports association dedicated to Argentine tango instruction, operating multiple teaching venues across Rome and the surrounding region. The school is led by federal instructors Dario Pizzini and Emanuela Pansera, supported by a team of coordinators, assistants and instructors trained through the TANGUEDIA ACADEMY programme.
The association runs classes at seven locations: Roma Nord (Olimpico CSA, serving Villaggio Olimpico, Flaminio, Ponte Milvio), Roma Nord-Est (Barrio Arte, covering Pietralata, Nomentano, Tiburtino), Roma Est (Casale Michele Testa, serving Tor Sapienza, Casilino, Prenestino, Centocelle), Roma Sud-Est (Planet Sport, in Appia and Tuscolana), Roma Sud (BV Oly Hotel Congress Hall, covering San Paolo, Ostiense, Marconi), plus Marino in the Castelli Romani (MoDART) and Ostia (ENERGYM). All teaching activities and venue access are reserved for members.
The school offers courses at multiple levels including Principianti Zero (absolute beginners), intermediate classes, and advanced technical instruction. Seminars cover Musicalità (musicality), Corso Milonga I and II, individual technique for both leaders and followers, Tango Vals, Coreo-Lab (choreographic laboratory for women), and specialized workshops on finales and poses. Private lessons are also available.
The teaching team includes several competitive dancers. Gianfranco Pernice placed 3rd at the 2024 Italian National Championship (35-44 Class A) and is National Champion in the COPPA CIDS (35-44 Class A, 2022). Marco Cammarano and Virginia Battisti d'Amario both placed 3rd at the 2024 National Championship (Over 50 Class A). Francesca Bordi is Italian Champion (45-60 Class B, 2023) and Vice National Champion of COPPA ITALIA CIDS (Under 50 Class B, 2024). Giuseppe Spitoni and Giuseppe Pizzini are both Italian Champions (45-60 Class B, 2023 and 2025 respectively). Ileana Monaco is Italian Champion (45-60 Class B, 2025). Assistants support classes Monday through Sunday depending on the location.
The association organises competitive circuits, including the Circuito Slam Danze Argentine (formerly COPPA ITALIA), Italian National Championships (FIDESM), and European Championships (IDO). It also offers instructor training through its ACADEMY course and runs special events including TANGUEDIA SHOW (2025), tango camps and retreats (TANGO CAMP 2025 in Ascea, TANGO CAMP 2024 in Paestum).
What to expect
Your first visit
Single students participate in regular partner rotation during classes, dancing with other singles and supporting assistants. Beginners in the Principianti Zero course start from the fundamentals with step-by-step instruction; no prior dance experience or natural talent is required. All teaching activities require membership.
