About this studio
Baila Bel Air has operated from Anthony Fokkerweg 3 in Amsterdam since June 2020, with 4 dance studios in the same building as club Sissi's. The location functions as a social hub where you can eat, work, socialise and dance.
The studio teaches Cuban Salsa, Bachata, Rueda de Casino, Son, Latin ladystyling, and classes focused on styling, footwork and musicality. All levels are catered for, from absolute beginners to advanced dancers. Regular 8-week course blocks run continuously, with new blocks starting every 8 weeks (recent start date noted as 31 August). Each 8-week course includes one free entry to the Friday socials, access to the Bueno student app, and WhatsApp lesson group access.
For those without a fixed schedule, the studio offers flexible ten-card passes available in 5, 10, 20 or 40-class options with no penalty for missed lessons. One-day courses run from 13:00–17:00 and cost €65 per person or €130 per couple, including snacks; Saturday and Sunday parking is free. Bootcamps are also available.
The studio hosts Friday Salsa & Bachata nights twice a month (21:00–00:30) with rotating DJs and free parking. Larger summer events include the Baila x Sissi's Summer Nights party with Cuban Salsa, Timba, Son and Bachata danced both outdoors (weather permitting) and indoors, plus specialist workshops. Recent workshop offerings included Urban Timba & Reparto and Timba con Afro taught by visiting artists, each 2 hours at €35. The studio offers private lessons and gift vouchers by request.
What to expect
Your first visit
Classes run Monday–Friday 18:00–22:00. Most courses are structured 8-week blocks with multiple levels available, so you'll find a class matching your experience. Friday socials and regular social events give you immediate opportunities to dance with the community.
